There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call "The Twilight Zone" - Rod Serling

Pretty in Pink
It seems that in a county of Texas they are using the colour pink to keep inmates at the Mason County Jail from becoming repeat offenders. The inmates wear pink jumpsuits and slippers, the walls of their cells are pink, and their bedsheets and underwear are inadvertently pink because of the wash. The thought of 250 pound inmates running around in pink is hilarious and I can see how it would be a deterrent for coming back to prison. All they need now are frills and froufrous to complete the picture. The measure, instigated by Sheriff Clint Low, seems to be working very well. Maybe we should try it here in Canada.

Omigosh, that's hysterical! Couldn't you just see Willie Picton in a pink jumpsuit? Maybe that would be the best justice of all.
Oh ferchrissake....
Boy, I've got mixed feelings about that. Seems a little perverse. Here, the range jumpsuits did not make people as noticebable as they were intended because of all the orange-wearing University of Tennessee fans, so they went back to the old blac-and-white striped suits! All they lack is a ball and chain aroudn their ankles.
How chic. Or cheek.
Beautiful photos of cross country skiing.

I remember when this first happened. It was all over the news here. Hey, if it works, people should take notice.
I've heard of that slammer, and I think it's a brilliant idea. Considering the travesty that is our so-called justice system in Canada (pat them on the head, give them a kiss, and a conditional sentence) I would love to see it incorporated here. Of course, it never will be. It would be a violation of their 'human rights.'
LOL
