Spring has sprung

Here in the Great White North, winter seems to be rapidly losing its grip on our land and lakes. The lakes are melting and the maple sap is running already. Jazz will be particularly happy that it's over. ;o)

Gorgeous pictures!

(They made me feel chilly, but I still like them.)

Just beautiful and I know you're glad to see the thaw. But I have to laugh - you and I have different ideas for what it means for Spring to arrive!

Oh yes, I am particularly happy. Happy happy happy. Did you go to a sugar shack?

Geewits: Why thank you. It's not so chilly compared to the temperature it could have been.
SAW: Well when the plants come up it's summer... but the daffodils are growing quickly at the back of the house, which faces due south and gets all the sun. Between the sun and the heat reflected from the back wall, they are getting a good head start.
Lil Sister: There's a sugar shack at Car St-Jacques so many hidden treasures in the west island.

My grandfather used to take me to a sugar shack in the Gatineaus. I remember maple taffy made on the snow. Then they still used big Clydesdales to pull the sled to collect the sap. I can still small that sugar shack. (I date myself.)
Thanks for the memories.
