Weird winter

Well my cross country skiing will be finished for a while since yesterday's weather was to say the least warm (10 C/50 F) and wet (40 mm / 1.5 in of rain). We are really having a warm winter up here with temperatures way above normal. What is strange is that the south eastern US are freezing their butts off and Europe has been snowed under.
Go figure. Of this keeps up we'll soon
Be sending our winter tires down south.

Personally I think it's about time we caught a break! We still had to shovel the snow off the cottage roof a couple of weeks ago...

No! We'll send our snow north, instead.

We were doing great until Friday. It was like we brought the frigid chill home with us from northern Michigan. Today it's supposed to be back in the 50's. I can't wait!

Our crocuses are in bloom and the forsythia threatens to bloom within a couple of weeks -- about a month early. Love it.
