So much is expected of Mr. O I don"t know if he can ever fulfill the dreams he has inspired in people. But they are inspired, and that's a good thing. As for Harper I don't think he is so grey and boring. Scratch the surface and Mr. H would look alarmingly like Bush, only with a much higher I.Q.

I didn't think I could be any happier than when he won the election in November, but I was wrong. I was even happier once he was sworn in. B. was a horrible evil creepy joke. I was embarrassed for about 6 years to be an American. How many times can you say, "I didn't vote for him!"

One thing that makes me uncomfortable about the whole Obama thing is the messiah-izing of the man. He is not the messiah. He's just a guy who, I think, really believes what he is preaching and who is inheriting a huge mess. Hopefully, people will have the patience necessary to see this through. There will be no quick fixes, and somehow, I think a lot of people are expecting just that.
